Twisted Tots release a comic!

Twisted Tot of the Month

Suicide Clyde

Twisted Tot, Suicide Clyde...Want a Tot like this one, then contact the makers!!

Created by JC & SR Griffith, Twisted Tots are a combination of art, the minds of horror fans and bundles of demonic joy. With such care taken to create these dolls, it is only a matter of time until horror fans are kicking each other out of their path to get to the Twisted Tots table.

With inspiration from horror movies like Night Of The Living Dead, Dawn Of The Dead and The Exorcist, and writers like Steven King and Clive Barker, it is pretty obvious that these dolls are going to scare there way into your hearts.

Handpainted to fans specifications and sealed with their own evil mixture, each Tot is unique, and has its own twisted personality.

Twisted Tots...Bedtime Reading for the Sick and Depraved!

Twisted Tots are proud to present their first comic book!

"But i must warn you, it's an adult horror comic, not for little ones. There's plenty of gore in it that's for sure. We really went all out on this one, and seriously pushed the envelope on this one. Maybe even too far, lol. but that's us...TWISTED......!!

Hey, I never said we were normal, or all sweet and innocent. Who the H*LL wants to be normal anywayz...."

- Stacey and James, Twisted Tots Creators!

I had the great honour to interview two talented and friendly as HELL people. The Makers of Twisted Tots, JC & SR Griffith.

This is the interview in full...

Okay, here we go, thank you both for agreeing to this, its highly appreciated.

First off all, I read on your site of the numerous influences that help you create Twisted Tots, what would you both say are the biggest influences on the making of the Tots?

(Stacey's reply) We are both die hard horror fans, so we both constantly have horror on the brain. I have my influences and James has his.

I love horror movies, props, conventions etc, zombies, demons, vamps, and blood & gore. If it is horror related I'm there! Hell my favorite holiday is Halloween so go figure, haha.
So my influences and inspiration sparks from several portals of my life and my twisted mind. To top it off, we have 3 rotten boys, so the possibilities for creating Twisted Tots are endless.
When you are raising three monsters, ideas come easily. The doll creation process is like therapy. There's nothing better than ripping a dolls head off to relieve some stress. haha

(James' Reply) ....I have been influenced and inspired by several different people/Gods such as Tom Savini, George Romero, Dick Smith, Rick Baker, Tobe Hooper, and Rita & Ed Uhl. If what I create makes someone's stomach churn, or causes them to call me sick, morbid, or twisted, then I know it's good.

I have my favourites, as others will too, which Twisted Tot would say YOU guys like the best?

(Stacey's reply)  I think we both agree on the same one.......SPASTIC JO JO. But if I had to pick the goriest one, I'd say Bubba. James is still kicking himself in the ass for getting rid of that one.

When was the first Twisted Tot created? And which one was it?

Morbid Morgan was the first twisted tot created. Created by James (JC) and named after our oldest son. Morbid Morgan was created in August of 2002 I believe. Gosh it's hard to remember that far back, I feel brain dead. lol.

Your waiting list is pretty long, and it'll only get longer as people find and run into what you offer, how long does it usually take you to create a Twisted Tot?

Well...it depends...on several factors, such as what doll you are wanting, the availability of base dolls etc. Extent of the resurrection process etc. The gory dolls and character type dolls tend to take much longer to create and complete. At times we may spend days, or weeks just trying to find the perfect outfit for a particular doll.

There are a select few Tots that are unable to be reproduced, just because it was a one time thing, or the outfit etc was a lucky find. So unless we know specifically what the person wants, it's hard to give one a turn around time right off the top of our head. Also. a lot depends on how many custom orders are ahead of yours. Unfortunately, that is the disadvantage to being on a waiting list.

With horror, there will always be people who have a problem with it as well as people who ADORE it, I've gotten hate mail the the past for dolls I've created, do you get hate mail or complaints? If you do, how often? Any freaky stories??

Ahhhh Ha Ha! Hate mail is unavoidable in the horror industry. We've been called NAZI PIGS, SICK, MORBID, EVIL, TWISTED (oh we love twisted!), We've also been told we are awful, and that we are going to hell. We both have religious relatives, so it's a real hoot hearing their comments and seeing their reactions.

We recently had James' aunt stop by, when I was taking apart an angel doll that is going to be revamped in to a "Fallen angel" of course, hehe. When she asked.... (shocked shitless) "Oh that's pretty". I replied with "Well it won't be when I'm done with it, I'm making it into a fallen angel"!  James' aunt about blew a gasket......."What"! That's awful, that's terrible. that would look so pretty in my house, and you are doing that to it"!! She was pretty pissed. I love her to death, but at that moment I felt satisfied. It's those types of reactions that give us our drive to create more Twisted shit. The same reactions is what James gets from co-workers, they hate him more and more each day. lol.

What are your favourite horror flicks guys?? Gotta ask that one!

(James' reply) Anything that has the names "Romero", "Savini", "Fulci", or "Tobe Hooper" attached to it. OR has zombies in it. We are also LBP fans "Low Budget Pictures" for those of you who don't know who LBP is, it's the one and only Chris Seaver "The Seavage".

(Stacey's Reply) I like pretty much the same movie as James. I used to be a big exorcist fan, that is until I met Linda Blair....BITCH!

All in all, I just love zombies. I so want 'BUB' from Day of the Dead as my very own zombie pet. lol. Bub rocks!!!

As you both create these fantastic bundles of horror, could you talk us through who does what in the process of bringing a Tot to life?

Oh no....now this is where James gets almost all the credit here (darn it). James pretty much does all the gory dolls, and I stick with the more tame dolls. I hate to admit this, but when I make a doll that needs teeth, I call on my wonderful hubby James to do that. He does all the teeth sculpting and gore prosthetics. James is the master at that, not me.  So for instance, a doll like "Bubba", or Butch etc.....that's James' master pieces. Mine are ones like Raven, Dracilla, Isabella etc. Just don't let James get too big of a head about all this. lol.

I wanna thank you for doing what you do, and I wish you the best things in the future, I cant wait to see Twisted Tots leave a mark on horror and toy collecting in the future, any parting words or favourite quotes to leave us with?

(James' favorite quote) If Stacey's Grandmother is here, then who's running Hell?

(Stacey's Favorite quote)   It's not that I don't give a shit, It's just that I don't fucking care.

As soon as you realize that I'm right and your wrong, we will get along.

Thank you so much for the interview Chris. We so greatly appreciate your interest in our dolls, and our not so normal lives. But hey, who the hell wants to be normal any ways?!

Thanks so much for your time guys!! You friggin rock!
