Mirari

Mirari is an Exclusive of the Little Apple Dolls.

The Little Apple first came to life in photographic works artist Ufuoma Urie had created that explored myths to do with creation and destruction. The symbol of the wounded, "pin-cushion" apple as an inanimate object who is capable of showing emotion  as hero/saviour/sacrifice  began to feature prominently in narratives the artist had written. As a symbol in myth, fairytale and religious texts, the apple has represented temptation: an alluring  yet tainted object not appearing as it seems: that which is desired which ultimately unsettles those who come into contact with it.

Little Apple Dolls are unique dolls, each with their own magnificent story. Through Little Apple Dolls, Ufuoma Urie tell fabulous tales, each one detailed in a storybook that comes with the dolls.

Series 4 pictures have been released.....They are due out in August!

Series 4 - Elysia, Lethe, Praeses, Sine of Souls and Timor Balatro.

In 2004 Series 1 of Little Apple Dolls were released, with Sine, Umbrae and Circe. The set caused waves, and soon were the talk of many a message board.

In 2005, Series 2 were released and fans were treated to four beautiful dolls, Irae, Animula, Erro and Mentis.

Series 3 look magnificent. Praeses, Oneris, Sanem, Trigninta and Vates will be gracing Little Apple Doll collectors shelves all over.

Another doll was also released in Series 3, the very first BOY LAD!He is a main character in the LAD storyline but unlike the other dolls is only half their height (at around 7"). So far he is the only boy doll in the series and comes with a fantastic all over skeleton costume plus mask and apple!

Mirari (Hot Topic exclusive), Ianua (Forbidden Planet exclusive) and Creo & Pestis, an exclusive release from San Diego Comic Con are also available, adding to the already amazing World of Little Apples.

Series 1 - Umbrae, Sine and Circe.

Series 2 - Animula, Erro, Irae and Mentis.

Series 3 -  Vates, Oneris, Sanem and Triginta Tres.
